Perched at high elevation, Aperture House is a simple tectonic structure fabricated with a strong sense of building material tactility in tandem with integration into nature's environment. The passive solar feature is an operable wall across the face, with large vertical louvers that allow the habitant to naturally control heat loss and heat gain in addition to providing many options for natural light influx at different times of the day.

• Passive Solar heating/ cooling
• Human operable controls
• Strategic material use
• Views of nature
• Passive natural light features
