ARCHITECTURE

Flux + Flex is an interactive
exhibit developed through
Heather Hoeksema's thesis
dissertation. The thesis topic is
Infrastructure, understood as
'movement systems' through
the city. The concept outlined
the spaces within the movement
systems [bus,subway,car,sidewalk] as
objects. Perspective views were
modeled as objects. The physically
modeled perspectives were
implemented as viewing devices,
installed together with video
montage as an interactive
exhibit. The transit models became
personal points of departure for
experiencing the city of Los
Angeles through light, space,
and time.
