Loop Stitch Bridge is designed
to stitch through the existing West
End historical bridge in the city of
Pittsburgh. From the canopy
trellis structure, a continuous path
is suspended below. The path
surface morphs in varying locations
to provide special areas for a diverse
set of activities that take place
along the bridge path. Seating,
canopys, and overlooks are shaped
from the bridge surface/structure
composite. xxxThe woven fabric-like
structure references the diverse urban
social fabric of the city.
