ARCHITECTURE

Eco Stories is a new gallery
space generated by the owner's
interest in showing work that tells
a story. The art products are created
within their localities. For example,
woven mittens shown in the gallery
are woven in the same place that the
sheep are sheered and cared for...
one of a kind hand bags are sewn
by local seamstresses. The architecture
of the project will involve an extensive
rehabilitation of a historic commercial
building and includeS time sensitive
energy saving lighting, low VOC paint,
natural light integration, and recycled
wood product. The space will be organized
into 3 areas that are metaphors to nature.
The Field, Grove, and Garden relate
to the way the design is organized in
terms of the lighting, density, color use
and circulation patterns.
