ARCHITECTURE
The dwelling concept for Neo Nest
starts with fabricating a small,
comfortable guest house that later
can have a main house added. The
design includes a carport, enclosed
spiral stairs to a studio loft space,
and a 2 1/2 story roof garden. The
house integrates passive energy
saving techniques by using large
windows to the north for natural
iffused lighting without heat gain
and exterior canopy shades that
retract on the south to allow heat
gain during winter. Venting windows
at eave height provide energy-free
venting and air exchange and the
grass roof surface provides natural
insulation.
