This peace village was designed as a sustainable organism for children and their families. Being in one of the hottest regions on the globe, we implemented a number of green design strategies. The essence of the design integrates basic elements of sustainable architecture, community, and creativity. The gathering spaces [peace garden,reflecting pool, courtyards] nurture community. The buildings, made of simple packed mud construction, provide blank canvases for mural making... and 'peace' flags in the form of fabric shading.
