ARCHITECTURE
This peace village is designed as a
sustainable organism for children and
their families. Being in one of the
hottest regions on the globe, we've
implemented rigid passive solar strategies
with local materials, hydro farming for
water supply, and solar cell use for
providing the village's energy supply.
The essence of the design integrates basic
elements of sustainable architecture,
community, and creativity. The gathering
spaces [peace garden,reflecting pool,
courtyards] nurtures community. The
buildings, made of simple packed mud
construction, provide blank canvases
for mural making... and 'peace'
flags in the form of fabric shading.
