Originally pursuing studies in the human sciences, Heather Hoeksema shifted her focus from the human scale to the scale of buildings after receiving a scholarship to the University of Michigan School of Architecture and Urban Planning. An experimental artist of painting, cloth, and photography/video, she integrates her work in these personal mediums with her scientific background to approach architecture both intellectually and intuitively. The breadth of Heather's experience includes roles on international projects like Kauffman Foundation and Music and Dance Theater in Chicago's Millennium Park. She has been involved with the practice and academia of fine Arts and Architecture for over 20 years.
