ARCHITECTURE
This multifamily project, titled
'four winds' is a series of 4 buildings
slated for a site in East Los Angeles.
HHEAL worked as associates with the
office of Eric Lloyd Wright & Associates
in the development of design and technical
drawings for construction. The project
is community oriented, and integrates
building and landscape on steeply sloped
topography in a neighborhood setting.
Through thoughtfully designed landscaping
the site is shaped to engage the
the habitants into gathering together
and nurturing their existing culture.
Careful attention to sustainable design
includes the use of edible gardens,
maximized natural ventilation and light,
and promoting alternative methods of
transportation like bicycles.
