With her extensive experience in arts related architecture projects, Ms. Hoeksema provided initial design + acoustical consult for this garage conversion into an audio/ visual media room in Topanga. Following the consult the clients embarked on a free form creative collaboration to complete the project as an artistic event for their entire family.

The interesting juxtaposition for the space was that it accomodated contrasting sensibilities. It was both a meditative space for relaxation and an acoustically sound music room for mom to play her drum set.
