ARCHITECTURE

An exercise in mapping,
this project called for
a new student housing plan
for an empty site on University
of Virginia's campus. Reiterating
the organization of Jefferson's
yard, the most prominent architectural
planning feature on the campus,
I designed a series of staggered
dwelling buildings with landscaped
spaces between each building pair.
The staggering of the architecture
integrated with the dynamics of the
existing topography. The existing
infrastructure systems on the
campus were woven into the new
pedestrian and automobile paths.
